Realizing that SS is more practical in the bedroom system forces me to grudgingly sell this wonderful amp.
This integrated provides seriously refined hi-end sound way beyond it's price, and is flexible enough to easily integrate into a HT setup. It has made all my speakers (Spendor, Devore, Meadowlark) just sing beautifully. It is very easy to set-up and bias. The sound is open, airy, textured, spacious and warm. Just what you'd expect from a good tube amp. But it also has guts, drive and detail. Sounds way more powerful than its specs. Triode operation will give a warmer more romantic sound, while pentode will give a more driving and gutsier performance.

This is the most current version with the extruded aluminum chasis, wooden remote, and tube cage. I have owned it for a year, but it has seen light use in the bedroom. Cosmetically it is excellent....can't see a mark on it. No operational issues or glitches whatsoever. It is very quiet and has performed flawlessly the entire time I've owned it. And the 55 lb shipping weight is testimony to the hefty build quality!

Use good cabling, try switching out the 12au7 for NOS, and slap on your favorite power cord and you will be rewarded with sonic bliss.
At my asking price, I will include a quad of low hour Penta/Shuguang KT88sc "solid plate" tubes. These are wonderful tubes that lots of folks like. They offer an exceptionally balanced sound, and raise the 1001 performance another notch.
