We've carried this line of amplification for a number of years now and don't ever foresee ourselves letting the line go. The reason? It's quite simple. No other single product we've ever carried has had such universal praise and acceptance among the audio community. Butler Audio offers 4 different amplifiers:
TDB-2250 - 2 channels X 250 watts into 8 ohms MSRP: $3295.00
TDB-3150 - 3 channels X 150 watts into 8 ohms MSRP: $2495.00
TDB-5150 - 5 channels X 150 watts into 8 ohms MSRP: $3295.00
A-100 Monads - 2 channels X 100 watts of pure class A power into 8 ohms MSRP: $19,000.00
The A-100 Monads are a hand built, limited edition amplifier that can take upwards of 3 weeks of meticulous hand testing and fine tuning by BK Butler himself. He's an animal about these things :) We have his A-100 Monads on display in our showroom for your listening enjoyment. Not only are they beautiful to look at, they are truly reference class sounding amplifiers.
The TDB series of amplifiers are also available for audition in our showroom here in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina. Previously, the only color choice for these amplifiers was the standard silver. While we love the look of silver, we (and apparently a large number of our customers) still like black components. Well the TDB series of amplifiers can now be purchased in an all black chassis! We so like the new black chassis finish that The Home Theater Doctor is now stocking black as their standard color choice. Silver units will be special order items and require a couple extra days to get into stock from the manufacturer.
