Description:
REMARKABLY NEUTRAL~MUSICALLY SUBLIME!

*** NEW From Ryan Coleman of Positive Feedback Online Issue 37***

The thing about the EMM CDSA is that I find the product so damn good in its overall tone and harmonic presentation that cabling, usually employed by audiophiles as tone controls for flawed electronics, needs to be as unobtrusive as possible. Given that I didn't want to upset the delicate and ideal balance I was hearing, I found the best cord for the job was newcomer Tel Wire's sole offering ($799). While being exceedingly neutral throughout the midrange but with excellent extension at the frequency extremes, the cord is also highly flexible and very light, allowing for more effective isolation of horizontal and vertical vibrations, a pursuit which paid big dividends for my playback as I mentioned earlier.

Tel Wire is a no nonsense company that believes in giving the customer an extremely high value/high performance product. It is a true reference caliber product with extensive design criteria placed towards uncompromised AC delivery. Its construction utilizes the finest materials currently available.

Featuring a state of the art, multistrand OCC conductor and what are arguably the best AC plug and IEC connector made. The Oyaide 004 Beryllium AC connectors with their beryllium copper base metal, platinum + palladium plating, plus Oyaide’s extensive polishing process present a clarity which is unmatched.

The Tel Wire Cord employs a self-shielding geometry keeping the noise floor exceptionally low and a special sleeving chosen for its durability and capacity to reduce micro-vibrations, allowing images to emerge from a blacker background.

The result is a power cord that is remarkably neutral and exceedingly transparent, allowing for whatever component it is paired with to reveal a higher level of performance.

Pricing is for a 5 foot/1.5 meter length; longer lengths may be purchased at a cost of $30 per additional foot

**We will give a 30 day money back trial period on first purchase with the standard disclaimer that the Cord needs to be returned in 'As New Condition' so no using it as a lasso, tow line, anchor chain etc...**

I'm using two Tel Wires to power my CTC BBQ amp (essentially a single chassis version of the Parsound JC-1 monoblock SS amps). I've tried a number of different cables on this amp - Elrod EPS-3S, the "old style" FIM silver and gold level PCs, TG Audio SLVR and a few others. Prior to the Tel Wires I'd always come back to the TG SLVRs in this spot - which makes sense as this was Bob Crump's amp and he clearly "voiced" it using the SLVR cables. Even the FIM gold cables - which are extremely large solid-core conductor cables intended for high current applications - were not as good as the TG SLVRs (though the FIM golds are excellent in other spots in the rig).

Well so far (after about 250 hours) the Tel Wire cords are doing VERY well on the BBQ, and are providing many of the improvements you noted when trying one on your CDP. More assured and extended bass response, improved dynamics, perhaps a slight increase in soundstage but certainly improved space between instruments within the soundstage (presumably a "quieter background" helps with this).

At any rate, my point here is that in this particular "high current" application the Tel Wire cords are the best I've personally tried. I'm convinced now that cable performance depends heavily on "synergy" with the associated gear it's used on so I'm not necessarily saying the Tel Wires will out-perform the Elrod, TG or FIM cords in all tests - just in my system in this spot they're doing very well, and better than these aforementioned cables.

Chris,
Prior to leaving tomorrow to Singapore, I had a long session yesterday and today in my system with your power cord and honestly speaking, it is unbelievably good. I had never heard my system sounding so good. You can see my posting in audioasylum about my initial impressions. Thank you for making such a wonderful product, whether your design, or the copper and insulation, or the Oyaide connectors, or the sum total.

I have had a Telwire power cord for a month or so now and it sounds wonderful on my refurbished Pilot EL84, 17 watt tube integrated amp. It bested a couple of other well-known brand cords. The cord, on initial listen, sounds better than most cords when new. However, after about 150 hours, the highs and lows become fully extended and the midranges really start to fully flesh out. This is a very muscial cord when matched to the right component. This cord is as close to neutral as any cord that I've ever listened to, with very little of a "house" sound. It is very well built and because of its unique construction, it is very flexible and easy to fit on most components without having to wrestle it behind the cabinet. The connectors are the excellent Oyaide P004 and C004, in my opinion, the best Oyaide models with the least sonic signature.

Your PC on the WAPMC was quite a surprise in that it added a transparency and a human emotional content to the music that made it so much easier to connect with the musical message.

The Tel Cord displaced a PS Audio Lab ll PC providing much better harmonic precision combined with very articulated bass and sweet, sweet highs with a very quiet background which shores up the platform for a most pronounced 2C3D soundstage.

I do find a remarkable improvement in overall transparency; a seemingly blacker background from a spatial information POV, as images seem to be more suspended in space with a notable amount of micro haze removed from the presentation -- the power amplifier sounds as if it's connected to AC power via an Oyaide P-004 Beryllium AC plug and Oyaide C-004 Beryllium IEC connector with "no wire in between them".

the cable now exerted a very nice transparent sound with a neutral character and a nice black background. The cord sounded very smooth, with excellent spatial cues. The bass now had a rather nice tight round character. The Tel Wire greatly improved the Video and sound quality compared to my previous cable that I used on it (a Electraglide Epiphany X.)

They work great on high current draw devices. I have SimAudio W-10's and before I tried the TelWire cords the cords I liked best were either the Shunyata Tiapan or the Jena Labs Model One. The TGAudio SLVR cords were a little soft on my amps. The TelWire worked well and tho I was worried about the gauge a little they didn't mess with the dynamics.

After about 250hrs the pc really shined, bass was now tight and extended with great definition. The pc is very smooth and extended in the treble with a great amount of micro detail but lacking any stridency whatsoever. The midrange is fleshed out very nicely and the soundstage gained depth and width and a remarkable increase in dimensionality. I also found it to be perhaps the most neutral pc that I have used which have included Synergistic, Shunyata, VD, VH audio.

The cord seems to shine w/ preamps & sources. must say i've used the TelWire on a Modwright 36.5 (and an EMM CDSA) i have in for review and found it to be a wonderful partner: VERY tonally balanced (those P004 / C004 connectors are awesome--i use them everywhere), dimensional, and a pleasure to use.

I replaced my Stealth M5000 and Dream Digital with these power cords.

Right now my system is sounding darn good and I'm really enjoying just listening :)
