| Description: | This ad is for a one owner pair of ESB 7/08 loudspeakers from Italy. ESB stands for Electroacoustic Systems Building.
The cabinets are beautiful long grain oiled Walnut, and the grilles are black fabric over a plastic frame.
The speakers have no flaws of any consequence, the grille cloth has no tears, and all the drivers are factory correct.
I had the foam surrounds professionally replaced on the woofers during July..and all drivers and crossover components were tested....and work perfectly.
This pair of 7/08's have been in use since they were made in the mid 80's (1984-1987), and driven exclusively by Mcintosh tube components.
The driver compliment is a 10" fabric woofer, a 2.5" textile dome midrange, and a 1" textile dome tweeter...and all 3 are fused independently.
The enclosure is referred to as a Distributed Spectrum (DSR) acoustical suspension design ...and the front baffle is angled inward for improved imaging.
The speakers are designed to be placed in a left and right position to produce the vast soundstage and pinpoint imaging the ESB speakers are known for.

The only review I have ever seen of this pair of speakers was from High Fidelity in October 1984..and I have a copy of that review which will be provided with the speakers.

I do not have the factory boxes, but I have many years of experience boxing and shipping speakers, turntables, and delicate vintage equipment. The speakers will be professionally packed. Buyers please make an effort to calculate your shipping charges, and if need be, we can compare rates. The dimensions are given as is the weight, and my shipping zip code (78727). All the major shippers have websites that will allow you to estimate your charges. Be sure to add 5-7 inches to each dimension for the packing boxes, and add 10 -15 lbs per pair when boxed.
