| Description: | Why am I writing a review on an amplifier which stopped being manfactured in 1989? Because I can't imagine a better value for those in the market for a 100 Watt tube amplifier. If one were to purchase a new amplifier today that offered all that the D-115 Mk2 offers it would cost what the VT-100 does which is about 5K. This is not to say that the D-115 is as good as the VT-100, I have not heard them in the same system so I can't compare them. I can say that there is no push pull 100 watt tube amplifier that I have heard that offers the transient attack, highs, midrange and bass and does it with such authority. This amplifier most certainly was a Class "A" performer in its day although its sibling the M-100 mono amp got the most attention.
