Description:

I am selling an original (1960's) McIntosh MC275 Tube Amplifier in good condition. As far as I can tell the amplifier is all original from the 1960’s except for some tubes and the RCA connectors. I checked the amplifier and it works fine. I compared the sound with my reissue unit and I have to admit that the sound stage is much higher here. The amplifier is in good shape for its age. The lettering is still about 90%. There are some light pitting marks, but no major rust spots. I tested all the tubes on my old B&K tube tester. They are all checked very strong with plenty of life left. Four Amperex 6550 tubes made in England; the 12AZ7 and 12BH7 are vintage RCA; the 12AU7 are AMC (Great Britain); and the 12AX7 is Telefunken. The transformers are M-215; M-216B and M-216A. The power cord is good also. Again, this is good working unit in very good shape. Sorry, no manual just an original tube cage is included. The amplifier is very heavy. I will use plenty of packing material and double box for shipping.
